The first Bushcraft knives I made had thinner handles made from 3/16″ and 1/4″ thick materials. I did this to keep the knife light and easy to carry, since there was plenty of palm swell built into the profile of the full tang.
After receiving feedback from customers who wanted a thicker/larger handle, the 3rd Gen Bushcraft was born – with handles made from 3/8″ thick material. I dropped the front lanyard hole and kept both pins. I could not contour the handles without risking removing the pin head and leaving the exposed shaft (unsightly at best, unstable at worst). So there was no contouring on this run.
Most customers enjoyed the larger handles, but I still wanted to return to something slightly thinner, yet still hand-filling. So I dropped the rear pin, making it possible to provide a full palm swell.
Here are some quick shop pics to illustrate the new Gen4 handle profile:
I finished a few Monsters Nessies recently and finally got the sheaths back from Butch Hagedorn. I think you’ll agree he does GREAT work!
Showing 2 Dual-Carry sheaths and 1 Pouch – all in natural leather.
Enjoy a few more pics – like this crazy Cocobolo that looks like it’s on fire. Amazing grain. Very rare for Cocobolo.
And a couple in some very tough, grippy, long-lasting canvas micarta:
Hope you enjoyed seeing the pics!

I had some downtime this morning – still recovering from a bad stomach bug from Wednesday afternoon.
Anyway, I took some time to figure out a list of countries I’ve sent knives to and then I ordered them by quantity sent.
Here’s the list – hope I didn’t leave anyone out!
Hundreds of knives have gone to:
Canada
China
Dozens to:
Italy
Germany

Check out the latest MUCK knives to fly off the shelves. Congrats to the new owners!
I really like how these turned out – love how the liners really set these off.
I’ve started back on the MUCK knives now – get on the list if you haven’t already!

I’ve created a google calendar for tracking order progress and tasks, etc.
Hopefully I’ll be able to keep it updated at least a week in advance, if not sooner. Should help you guys get an idea of what I’m working on and how I’m spending my time.
