There is a sweet spot where Quality, Cost and Work (Performance) meet. For me, my designs and my workflow – I have found that spot in 3V steel. Its performance is matched by its reasonable price and reliability. The same can be said of the handle materials I use – only those that maximize quality without ignoring cost or sacrificing performance.
Good ergonomics starts with good design founded on understanding the human body and how it works, but it doesn’t end there. A design needs to be tested, feedback received and then modified over and over again. A knife with good ergonomics will balance well, feel like a natural extension of the body and not weigh you down.
I have streamlined my process to remove those aspects of knifemaking that add time and cost, but don’t add value. So I pass the savings directly to you. My knives sell quickly and are in high demand not only because my pricing is lower than knives of equivalent quality and materials, but also because I am much more efficient with my process.

- It was a real pleasure to meet you today. I love my new knife! I’m looking forward to putting it to use. Thank you so much for showing me the bushcraft folder prototype. I signed up for one tonight on your site. I truly appreciate your craft, and the fact you are a local artisan. (And) a nice guy!

- I received my bushmaster today. holy crap what an awesome knife, wasn’t expecting to be a big as it is, but it was definitely a welcome surprise. i have a little arthritis in my right hand and the larger handled knives are much easier to grip, so this knife feels great in hand. thanks for the beautiful work!
